How does legionella risk assessments in the north east work?

Three easy steps:

1. Your risk assessment

Before we come out, we’ll lock in a price. The initial quote is completely FREE.

Once you’re happy with the price, we’ll come out and do the risk assessment.

2. Management document

You’ll get a ‘live’ document that you’ll tick and sign off as you review each action point highlighted in your management document.

This could be monthly, six-monthly or yearly actions.

 3. Ongoing management

Now you’ll know what you need to do to keep your building’s water supply safe.

Depending on how much time you have, you’ll either monitor each action point or we can do that for you.

Risk Assessment

Legionella risk assessments: What are we looking for?

While we’re on-site doing your risk assessment, we’re checking loads of different things to make sure everyone who uses water in your building is safe (and you pass your health and safety checks).

These are the main problems we find:

  • Water stored at an incorrect temperature
  • Dirty tanks
  • Tanks with no lids
  • No water flow
  • Stagnant water
  • Unused taps
  • No double-checked valves

We’re checking everywhere water is used to make sure it’s safe for the people using it.

Risk Assessment

How much does a legionella risk assessment cost in the north east?

your risk assessment

We’d love to give you a price now but loads of things affect your legionella risk assessment quote:

  • How many water tanks there are
  • How many rooms you have.
  • How many water outlets (like taps and showers) you use.

Don’t worry – before we come out and do your risk assessment, we’ll give you a fixed price.

Action points needed

If we discover anything that needs some attention, we’ll let you know what it is and what we need to do to fix it.

Ongoing management

The price of your ongoing maintenance depends on two things:

  1. How many things you need to check on a monthly and yearly basis
  2. How many of those things you’d like us to do

For example, you may need to check the temperature of your stored water once a month. This is easily something you could do yourself and so you wouldn’t have to pay us to do it.

Some other jobs, on the other hand, are harder and so you may not want to have to worry about them.

How long does it take?

We’ll aim to do your risk assessment as quickly as possible with minimal impact to your operating hours.

You’ll receive your risk assessment report 5-7 days later.

Repair times vary depending on how many repairs you need and the availability of our plumbers to do the work.
